Raymond Lam proposed to Tavia Yeung on the street
Raymond Lam and Tavia Yeung were in Yau Ma Tei jade market shooting a scene for “Shall We State The Case” in which Raymond had to kneel down on his knees to propose to Tavia. They attracted a lot of onlookers. Raymond has never proposed in public before, he revealed that he was a bit embarrassed. Talking about a marriage proposal, reporter asked if he had proposed before? Raymond said “To whom? (Linda Chung of course!) No way, never dream of it!) Raymond disclosed that although he hasn’t met his other half yet, he had imagined that he would go down on his knees to propose. He would come prepare with a ring and a bouquet of flower. Reporter asked how many carats of the diamond he intends to buy? Raymond asked the reporter back how many carats would be enough? The reporter told him it should be 10 to 20 carats, which mean that he is sincere. Raymond said buying a property would be more sincere because you can’t make a meal out from diamond. After the series, Raymond will be in the studio recording his mandarin album which is due for release at end of this month. He is hoping he can get into the mainland market.
Tavia was asked by the reporter if she was embarrassed when Raymond proposed to her in the street? She smiled and said “It’s him who is embarrassed, not me. If in future the guy I like proposes to me in the street, I would accept his proposal straight away! I have to make sure this person is definitely not Raymond, otherwise his fans will kill me.”

Talking about Mandy Chung who failed to win the Miss Hong Kong title, used very rude words to describe him in the facebook, Raymond responded “I don’t have facebook and I don’t take any notice about what she said. In the new series “Shall We State the Case”, police officers Tavia Yeung and Kenneth Ma solve cases with physicist Raymond Lam using physic theories. Tavia fulfills her mother’s wish as she plays a cop in the series. Kenneth will play a “Lover Cop” surrounded by pretty girls. He laughs and says his character is this year’s best character. Yeah, now I’m filming this series (points at the sticker) “Shall we state the case”. You can probably tell by its name what the series is about, it talks about cases and romantic relationships. This time… let’s say I’ve known Ah Yi (Tavia Yeung) for eleven years now, in the same TVB acting class, the last time we portray a couple was “Twin of Brothers”. Is it still on? Yeah I think it still is. That was five years ago. So we’re working together again after so many years. I think we have very good chemistry because we’ve known each other for so long, understand each other, so this time working with her besides having mutual understanding there will also be new sparks. Actually this time our characters are quite different. I’m the….let’s just say the “upper class” person, and she’s more at the grass roots level. So putting these two characters together there’ll be many cute moments because our backgrounds are different, so there will be a lot of scientific effects (chemistry?).

Actually, this series is a huge new challenge for me because the scripts are big, need to remember long and difficult lines. Usually I can use my own methods to remember the script. But this time, I just have to study and learn it off by heart because I don’t know the physics terms. I studied business at school so I don’t know the science subjects. Also, I have to talk about a lot of physics theories so I just have to learn them. For me it’s a new challenge and so far it’s been ok.

Actually, sometimes when we’re working, especially when someone has really long lines, when they don’t remember, we’ll all remind each other. When I’m explaining the cases sometimes I’ll forget but no one reminds me because they say they don’t understand what I’m talking about either, since I’m talking about theories. So I have to rely on myself more, and just learn the lines.

Raymond Lam suffering from gastroenteritis, with diarrhoea and vomiting
Due to having gastro, Raymond Lam was late in attending the blessing ceremony for “Shall we state the case”. He said that he started to vomit and had diarrhoea in the afternoon, and by morning he had already seen a doctor and took an injection. In the new series, Raymond praised Tavia Yeung for her feminity (womanliness – 女人味), but Tavia said that she had not acted as the romantic interest of Raymond for a long time, since “Twin of Brothers”. She joked that he was only concerned with “dating” Linda Chung! However, Tavia said she normally does not attract romance rumours.

Kenneth Ma, Tavia Yeung and Raymond Lam attended the blessing ceremony for up coming new TV series “Shall We State The Case” yesterday. Raymond and Tavia will play the role as a couple again following “Golden Faith” and “Twin of Brothers”. Tavia revealed that the two has worked well together, but this time the feeling is different as Raymond has matured a lot. He doesn’t look like a kid anymore. Tavia was teased by the reporter if she is worried about rumors. Tavia smiled saying that it would be inevitable, whether it spreads out successfully is another matter. Tavia went on to say that she is immune with rumors. Raymond thanked Tavia for her remarks, in return, he also said Tavia is very feminine and she is getting more and more beautiful too.

Raymond was late for the blessing ceremony yesterday, he disclosed that he has gastroenteritis and has been having diarrhoea. “I am not sure if I had eaten out of date food at home. I started having diarrhea yesterday and throughout the night too. I was feeling really unwell last night in the fund raising activity. I went to see the doctor and had an injection this morning. We have a celebration dinner tonight, it is a shame that I can’t eat as much as I want.”

Tavia revealed that Kenneth wanted the media to create a rumor for them as on screen couple. She asked Kenneth if he is worried about his girlfriend Nancy Wu. Kenneth said he preferred to have Tavia as his rumored girlfriend; the two was seen sharing fruits together. Tavia told reporter afterwards “You think Kenneth prefers me as his girlfriend, can’t you see he said it with the orange covering his heart?”
