[Interview] AiShiTeRu radio show - 16th August

Published by Kat under radio

It is a long interview and I’m not even half way through! So this is part 1, where Fung talks about each of his rumoured girlfriends. In part 2, he’ll talk about his real life experiences. Watch out for the later parts in the coming days!

Recently, Fung has appeared on a few radio interviews. The content is quite similar (where he talks about his love life and rumoured girlfriends). I picked this one to translate because I found it quite funny, especially when Kitty is “electrified” by ah Fung! :D This radio show was aired on 16th August on FM903’s AiShiTeRu, this segment is called “Love Story”. It is hosted by Kitty Yuen Siu Yee & Yu Dik Wai. As I don’t know the male host’s English name I’ve just referred to him as “Host”!

You can download the original interview at Yuki’s Blog!

Raymond Lam Fung is 1/16th Spanish and is very popular against TV fans. From “A Taste of Love”, “A Step into the Past”, “Survivors Law”, “Twin of Brothers” to the recent “Moonlight Resonance”, his popularity is only rising not falling. His fans organised fan clubs for him in HK and Mainland China. HK’s club is called Fung Forever, and the one Mainland China is called FMH. Besides TV fans, music fans also like him. The themes and subthemes sang by Fung are very popular and he also received the award for the best selling male newcomer. Also, he’s also attacking the children’s market by singing theme songs for Digital Dinosaur (?) and Masked Superman. So even little kids like him. But out of everyone I think the people who like him the most are the paparazzi because every time Fung films a new series, they will add a rumoured girlfriend for him. His rumoured girlfriends include: Sonija Kwok, Rain Li, Michelle Ye, Tavia Yeung and Charmaine Sheh. His latest rumoured girlfriend is Linda Chung who is also this year’s Olympic Star.

[News] Love life still empty, Fung searches for traditional girl

Published by Kat under articles

A short news article from today, so many radio interviews lately!

Credits: Wenweipo (news), Apple (photo)

Fung’s popularity has risen due to the airing of “Moonlight Resonance”, recently he was interviewed by Lam Pak Hei (a radio show host from Metro Radio).

When Fung spoke about his love life, he openly admitted that he would like to be in a relationship. He has also met a girl that he has a favourable impression on, but ultimately he will not take action. The reason is because he’s too busy so he cannot spend a lot of time or energy on it, and it would not be satisfactory for the other person. Plus he is a person who desires perfection, so he will often point out the other person’s shortcomings. So everytime he picks a girlfriend he will be very careful, and he’s also afraid that once a relationship happens the feelings will be different from before. Also, he’s very insecure, which caused his love life to be currently empty. He also said he would like his future partner to be a traditional girl, of course he would like a beautiful girlfriend, but feeling comfortable with her is the most important.

[Magazine] TVB Weekly vol. 582 - MV filming

Lam Fung “Goon Ga Jai” transforms into a flower protecting man
“Goon Ga Jai” Lam Fung not only takes care of the family’s large and small things in “Moonlight”, outside the series he’s also singing the subtheme “Love without regrets”. This songs talks about Goon Ga Jai’s love for Yu So Chau. He would rather quietly stand behind her and watch over her, and chooses to let go of her. However in the MV, Fung clearly doesn’t want to let go, taking care and protecting the MV girl (Lee Wing Ji - Wendy) who will act as a blind person.

Page 1 captions
Top: Guide Dog - Wendy, who plays a blind person in the MV, has a guide dog who helps her. Fung smiles and says actually this dog who plays a guide dog needs everyone to counsel him too.

Middle right: Keeping the distance - When they first met, Fung and Wendy kept a distance from each other before they’re brave enough to hold each other’s hand. The guy has his hands in his pockets and the girl just strolls slowly.

Bottom: Crossing the line - Until Wendy accidentally trips, they both finally break the barrier and has body contact.

Page 2 captions
Top: Holding hands with love - Fung admits, everytime he meets a new friend he would immediately make eye contact with them. So in real life, he doesn’t believe he will choose a blind girl to be his girlfriend. Filming MV is of course another matter, holding hands lovingly is not a problem.

Bottom left: The playful kid takes over - Fung is normally quite serious, but when he’s being playful he would even get on the trolley. This shows he’s a big kid.

Bottom middle: New friend - In the MV, Fung’s best friend is actually this dog. Before filming, Fung often went up and played “hand hand” with him.

Fung has saved enough for a deposit on a grand mansion
HOG fever has reached Malaysia, where Fung has just returned for the gala dinner hosted for the screening of the finale. Yesterday Fung attended a promotion function at a shopping centre where there was a racing girl contest. The screenings of HOG and Moonlight has brought many opportunities for its cast members to earn extra cash, including LSK and Susanna Kwan, buying cars and buying real estate. Fung freely admits he’s in the same position, “I’ve saved enough for a deposit, but this year the HK economy is not very stable, so I’ll wait until next year. My goal is of course a grand mansion. (Are you as good as Tracy Ip?) I don’t like the stockmarket. (Buying a car?) Actually I want to buy a car, but in October I will be filming abroad, so if I buy a car it’ll just be left here. So I won’t buy it now, maybe it’ll be cheaper next year.”

About the news that some audiences complained that Moonlight stopped airing because of the Olympics, Fung feels that the Olympics is an important event, and believes the Moonlight fans will understand. Also Lai Siu Tin had said earlier the Moonlight is only for housewives to watch, Fung replied, “If it’s only suitable for housewives, then many young people in HK are housewives, since many of my friends say that they need to go home and watch Moonlight.”

Also, Moses Chan, LSK, Ha Yu and Tavia Yeung etc also attended the HOG dinner in Malaysia. They watched the ending with the audience and also ate abalone. When Fung was singing on stage, Moses and Ha Yu often pretended to be his fans screaming for him, Fung immediately retaliates by saying it’s Moses turn to sing on stage. This caused Moses to be embarrassed and refused the offer. Also many of the actors used dog barking sounds to test the audience. (It was a game they played on stage.)

Raymond Lam helps Ha Yu wipe away his runny nose
Raymond Lam accepted an interview for an Commerical radio programme yesterday evening. Recently “Moonlight Resonance” had been delayed and stopped due to the Beijing Olympic events over running. In the end TVB received several complaints. Raymond’s own opinion is that the Olympics is only broadcasted every 4 years and its very difficult to control the time’s for a live tournament. The series is only being delayed in the meantime and it’s not like it will be discontinued.

The reporter mentioned that Louise Lee see’s him becoming the TV king this year. Raymond thanked her and said that he has confidence in getting into the Top 5 in receiving the award. He feels he is very lucky in getting a role that the audience like. But he considers portraying a good person role is very difficult because there aren’t any specific characteristics. But he is very satisfied with his own performance. In the series there is a scene where Raymond wipes away Ha Yu’s runny nose that hanged 7 inches. He said that the scene was very emotional and when he saw Ha Yu’s runny nose, he immediately helped him wipe it away. Afterwards, Tavia Yeung and Fala Chen laughed at him and asked how he could actually do it. But he felt that he just got carried away and just wanted to film a great scene.

Raymond Lam & Vincy Chan: Nervous when singing duet
Last night, Raymond and Vincy were guest performers at TVB8’s music event. Mandarin was the main language of conversation at the event. Raymond’s Mandarin was better than Vincy’s. He expressed that 10 years ago, he was once a host for a Mandarin program, so being paired up with Vincy to sing a new Mandarin duet was not a hard task for him. However, the pair has just received the lyrics for the song last week. Last night was the first time that the pair sang their new song publicly. Even though they’ve already memorized the lyrics very well, they were still very nervous, afraid that they would forget everything once they were on stage. This is the first time that Raymond and Vincy collaborated with each other. That night they wore matching outfits, consisting of knee-high pants. Revealing his hairy legs, Raymond stole the limelight.

Want to know when the show will air?

Ha! Not telling just yet, will tell you next week! Remember to check my blog!

Will tell you another thing, actually I had been a host on TVB8, then I was transferred to the drama section!

So it feels like I’m returning to my home while recording the show.

Magazine: TVB Weekly vol. 581 – Lam Fung the good guy

Published by Kat under magazines

There’re minor spoilers in this - you’ve been warned!

Moonlight Resonance special interview
Lam Fung the good guy

Fung says, the “Goon Ga Jai” (guy who manages the household – his nickname in the series) Gam Wing Ho in Moonlight Resonance is a “larn good person” (don’t know how to translate this!).

What is a “larn good person”?

From our understanding, it’s someone who always put others ahead of themselves, they don’t know how to say no and would rather sacrifice themselves. Simply, it’s an unbelievably good person.

Even though he’s a “larn good person”, he has flaws. Sandwiched in between grandmother Yu Gwan Lai (Lee Heung Kam) and Ho Ma (LSK), he will become long-winded and always nagging, hoping to please both sides. When facing his brothers and sisters, he likes to stick his nose in everything, and often conflict with others to protect them. Seeing the girl he likes dating someone else, he would rather sacrifice himself to make her happy.

“Goon Ga Jai”, on the surface he seems like he’s managing everything right, but in reality because of his good guy personality, he often put himself in difficult situations, making things hard for himself.

If you can choose, would you be a “larn good person”, or a normal person who is a bit bad?
